Why We Do What We Do

Alex Ihama Life & Business CoachSome of the questions that I am consistently being asked by people are "Why do I do what I do". "Why do I dedicate so much time and effort into helping people better understand their problems, to figure out themselves and to deal with their life and business situations?" "Why do I bother pursuing so much knowledge only to share it with people who may or may not be willing to implement changes in their lives and businesses?"

Well, if I was born for a purpose, which I strongly believe that we all are, it is to be a Life and Business Coach. It is to do what I do. It is to be in constant pursuit of the knowledge required to encourage you and everyone else. It is to ensure that the people that I am honoured to meet gets the knowledge and encouragement required to move their lives and businesses to the next level. It is to be there for those that are happy, those that are struggling and require moral support, and those that are unsure, feel unsafe, feel lonely, feel devastated, feel lost, feel pain, and feel stuck in their life or business. The reason that I do what I do is because I was born to do just that!

Even more so, in a world so full of destruction, I see so much beauty. In a world so polluted, I see so much freshness. In a world so chaotic, I see so much structure. In a world filled with so much hatred, I see so much love. In a world so lonely, I see so much togetherness. In a world so unmotivated, I see so much inspiration. In a world so oppressed, I see so much freedom.

In so many calamities, there is calmness.
In so much misunderstanding, there is understanding.
In so much lies, there is truth.
In so much weakness, there is strength.
In so much resistance, there is willingness.
In so much hostility, there is truce.
In so much dirt, there is cleanliness.
In so much foolishness, there is wisdom.
In so many mistakes, there is tactics.

I do what I do because I see so many opportunities in this world, in people's lives. I see so much potential in you and your business. I feel the passion and desire within those who barely see it within themselves. I strongly believe that mountains are meant to conquered, oceans parted, fires quenched, valleys crossed, walls demolished, relationships strengthened, faith guarded, love demonstrated, wisdom shared, understanding grasped, knowledge pursued, life lived . . . and to the fullest.

The more I am able to help people get out of their own way, the more I am convinced that this is what I was created for. The more I am able to help people back unto the real paths of their life purpose, the more I am energized. And these are what people tell me.

I wasn't always a Life Coach, though. Like the few people who finally discovered their Life Purpose, I went through many other vocations before landing where I am. Some of vocations, I am proud of, and some, I am not so proud of. But you see; I know now, as a Life and Business Coach that those previous occupations of mine were meant to prepare me for this one. How do I know? Well, everything I learnt along the way is what I now use to exhort people and businesses to greater heights, to their next level. Besides, I love Life and Business Coaching so much that I often do it for free! Can you say that about what you do? If so, then congratulations! For you and I are doing what we were born to do.
